Shipping Policy
Effective Date: July 29, 2026
At MDM Stoneworks, we partner with leading manufacturers and regional distribution centers across the United States to deliver high-quality stone veneer, thin brick, natural stone, masonry accessories, and related building materials. Because our products are often shipped directly from suppliers, shipping timelines and delivery methods differ from those of traditional online retailers.
Please review this Shipping Policy carefully before placing your order.
Order Processing
Most orders begin processing immediately after they are placed.
Orders may be transmitted directly to manufacturers, suppliers, warehouses, or freight carriers shortly after purchase.
Because of this, orders generally cannot be modified or canceled once processing has begun. Please review our Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy for additional details.
Shipping Methods
Depending on the size and weight of your order, shipments may be sent via:
-
Parcel carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.)
-
Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight carriers
-
Dedicated freight carriers
-
Manufacturer delivery services
Shipping method is determined by product type, weight, destination, and supplier requirements.
Order Fulfillment
Many products are shipped directly from our manufacturers or authorized distribution partners.
If your order contains products from multiple manufacturers or warehouses, your order may arrive in multiple shipments on different dates.
Separate shipments do not indicate that items are missing.
Processing & Lead Times
Processing and lead times vary by manufacturer, product availability, production schedules, and shipping location.
Estimated lead times displayed on our website or provided by our team are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Lead times may change without notice due to:
-
Manufacturer production schedules
-
Inventory availability
-
Material shortages
-
Transportation delays
-
Weather events
-
Labor shortages
-
Carrier capacity
-
Other circumstances beyond our control
MDM Stoneworks is not responsible for delays caused by manufacturers, suppliers, freight carriers, weather, or other events outside of our reasonable control.
Freight Deliveries (LTL)
Most stone veneer, thin brick, natural stone, and palletized products ship via Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight.
Once your shipment is ready, the freight carrier may contact you to schedule delivery.
Customers are responsible for:
-
Providing accurate delivery information
-
Being available for scheduled delivery appointments
-
Ensuring adequate site access for freight trucks
-
Providing equipment or labor necessary to unload materials if required
-
Inspecting shipments before signing the delivery receipt
Failure to keep scheduled delivery appointments may result in storage charges, redelivery fees, or additional carrier charges that are the responsibility of the customer.
Residential Freight Deliveries
Residential deliveries typically include curbside delivery unless otherwise specified.
Freight carriers generally do not:
-
Carry materials into a home or garage
-
Install products
-
Move materials beyond the curb
-
Deliver over landscaping, gravel, mud, or uneven terrain
Customers should plan accordingly and arrange any necessary assistance before delivery.
Delivery Appointments
Many LTL carriers require delivery appointments.
Failure to respond to the carrier or failure to accept delivery may result in:
-
Storage charges
-
Redelivery charges
-
Return freight charges
-
Supplier restocking fees
These costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Shipping Delays
Although we work diligently with our manufacturing and freight partners, shipping delays occasionally occur.
MDM Stoneworks cannot guarantee delivery dates and shall not be liable for delays resulting from:
-
Weather
-
Freight carrier delays
-
Manufacturer delays
-
Product shortages
-
Labor disruptions
-
Natural disasters
-
Government actions
-
Other circumstances beyond our control
Customers should not schedule contractors, installers, or project timelines solely based upon estimated delivery dates.
MDM Stoneworks is not responsible for labor costs, project delays, or other consequential damages resulting from shipping delays.
Inspecting Your Shipment
Customers must inspect all shipments before signing the carrier's delivery receipt.
Please check for:
-
Damaged packaging
-
Broken materials
-
Missing pallets
-
Incorrect products
If damage is visible:
-
Note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing.
-
Take photographs of the product and packaging.
-
Notify MDM Stoneworks within 48 hours.
Failure to note visible freight damage on the delivery receipt may limit our ability to recover damages from the freight carrier.
Concealed Damage
If concealed damage is discovered after delivery, customers must notify MDM Stoneworks within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery.
Please provide:
-
Order number
-
Description of the damage
-
Photographs of the damaged product
-
Photographs of the packaging
-
Any other requested documentation
Freight claims are subject to carrier requirements and approval.
Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate billing and shipping information.
Additional shipping charges resulting from incorrect addresses, delivery restrictions, rerouting, or failed delivery attempts are the responsibility of the customer.
Refused Shipments
Refusing delivery does not cancel an order.
If a shipment is refused after it has entered fulfillment or shipment, the customer remains responsible for all costs incurred, including but not limited to:
-
Outbound freight charges
-
Return freight charges
-
Supplier restocking fees
-
Carrier storage charges
-
Redelivery charges
-
Rerouting charges
-
Any other non-recoverable fulfillment costs
These charges will be deducted from any applicable refund.
If the total costs exceed the original purchase price, the customer remains responsible for the remaining balance.
Lost Shipments
If your shipment appears to be lost, please contact us promptly.
We will work with the freight carrier and manufacturer to investigate the shipment and assist in resolving the issue.
International Shipping
International shipping may be available for select products upon request.
Customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, import fees, and other governmental charges unless otherwise agreed in writing.
